about me

wELCOME AND HELLO!

This travel blog is targeted at the time-poor working professional — those who have an insatiable travel bug and disposable income, but who do not have the luxury of unlimited vacation time (or planning time).

This blog is designed to cut through the countless options and information overload, and provide you with a tried-and-tested itinerary for the limited vacation time that you have. The guides will highlight only the most essential information of a particular destination — the most worthwhile sights to see, when to go, and how to get there.

The guides also reflect my particular travelling style — which may be similar to yours! In particular, I sprinkle some memorable dessert spots to check out (I also write a dessert travel blog, here), recommend boutique or evocative accommodation over hostels or chain hotels, and because I travel with friends, loved ones, elderly parents and also solo, I include observations on safety and mobility considerations too.

What inspired this blog? I am an international lawyer — of Asian heritage, Australian nationality and currently of New York residency. The idea for this travel blog sprung up during a dark time in my life — that moment when you look up, reflect on what has been gained and what has been missed, and question what the next ten years should look like. After months of feeling lost, I decided to take a short break. I rediscovered a light again while flipping through my old tattered travel journal. By turning that journal into this blog, my hope is that even if you only have limited vacation time, this will – even a little bit – inspire you to take a break, see the world and make a memory for yourself alone or with loved ones.
